Recently, I've been busy surfing the internet for crafting blogs.. I've been so amazed by some of the wonderful stuff people do! I've decided, you know what, if they can do it, I can do it too... But that is until I have a little bit of spending money.. :) And maybe a house I can horde!

Yesterday, I was cleaning and I found the styrofoam wreathe I purchased a couple of weeks ago from DollarTree, and decided I needed to do something with this.. But I don't have anything... Surfed on the net for a bit and found this link...

I LOVE it!!! Man, I've got so much ideas in my head for this wedding that I'm not even sure when we're going to have!!! I can't wait until that day so I can blog all about my crafting... :)

Until then, I will be starting a new job next Tuesday or Wednesday. That means more money to spend AND SAVE... for this wedding.. We're sorta hoping by next year, so crosses my fingers that this day will come!

Wholesale Fragrances???

So I joined a business yesterday that sales fragrances at about a third of a price of what it comes for at any department store.. My goal yesterday was to try to get Family and Friends to buy as much as I could... All I got was 2 sales.. Is this worth it?? I think it is.. but I keep contradicting myself.. My goal yesterday was only 15 bottles, but sadly I was not even close.. Maybe because it was last minute and a lot of people didn't have money.. And specially the fact that a lot of the fragrance people were asking for, I didn't have!!
A plus about the fragrances is that they are the top of the line fragrance, "Eau de Parfum" in a 3.3 fl oz TESTER bottle and all sales for only $27! That is one hell of a steal!!
My confidence is like only.. 33% as of right now, I don't understand why my bosses choose me of the 300 resumes they received, but I'm hanging in there and pushing as hard as I can.. I have the motivation and drive, I need the confidence!!!

Lego Batman and Robin Cake

I've been away for a while because I've been really lazy and don't have anything to post. This past weekend, my friend was throwing a birthday for her son who was turning 4. She had asked me to make a cake for him. Knowing that he loves Lego Batman and Robin, I started looking online for ideas. This is what I came up with...

I had a hard time trying to cover the cake with fondant because apparently my landlord did not inform me that our A/C does not work... And with my place steaming HOT, I wasn't able to hold the pieces together. All I did was just whipped some cream and iced it. I had originally asked my bf to work on Batman while I worked on Robin but he had to go to bed because he had to wake up early to go drill the next morning. My roommate came and helped me with Batman. When I did Robin's mouth, I didn't realize that my coloring had gotten onto his mask.. It looks like he's dirty. LOL.. Anyways, the kids liked it. Kody sat in front of the cake admiring Robin (his favorite).

Something new that I've been surfing lately online is crafting. I found some pretty awesome sites... Here are my two favorites.

After 72 hours

Oh wow, how I miss civilization on the internet. Sunday afternoon, a tornado hit North Minneapolis, MN at 29th and Logan, about 4 or 5 blocks away from my place. Good thing, I was about 30 minutes away shopping at Ikea.. On our way back, we received a call from my boyfriend's brother telling us to take our time coming home because there was a tornado and the electricity had died.. We took our time and when we arrived on Broadway, there were so much damage buildings, cars, and trees everywhere. Because of all of the damage done, the police had to make a curfew for our area, no one was allowed outside or around the area between the hours of 9pm and 6am, Sunday and Monday.

Finally, after 72 hours later, we finally got our electricity back! I felt so ugly going to work without being able to fix my hair because it wouldn't wave the way that I wanted it to.. But man, I am so glad to be back online and just having electricity in general. The good thing while I didn't have electricity, I was able to start doing my cross stitching again. My goal is to finish a Hmong outfit for the New Years in Thanksgiving. So far, I think I'm ahead of my timing, but this is exciting. Next time, or when I have more finished, I will post pictures. :)

Haul at Sephora and Target

Since I was so disappointed that I wasn't able to get anything from the NYX sale, I finally got my chance to hit Sephora yesterday. I needed 16 more points to reach my 500 goal, and knowing that I still owed my friend her birthday gift, I got her the Hello Kitty makeup palette. I'm no Hello Kitty fan, but the palette is pretty cute and the colors are very neutral. And I was finally able to spend my 500 points and got me my Too Faced eyeshadow palette! I must say, I love the colors, especially the silver!
Then I decided to hit Target and get me some ELF brushes. :)

My friend loved the palette by the way. she's such a big Hello Kitty fan. :)

And what I've been dying to get!! I've played around with the colors a bit, but man, this is so worth it!

Nyx 12 hour sale

I'm sorry to say but this was poorly done. I'm glad that I went to work and not wasted my time on front of the screen like some others, but it's been one hour and 30 minutes and I've been able to add 4 items slowly.. Knowing how big of a makeup company NYX is, I'm very disappointed in how they handled this sale. Seriously, your going to be having a big sale with all of your products for only $1.20 and you did not expect to get a bigger server that will be able to handle all of your traffic?? That's just call being plain lazy.. However, I hope that this will end well. My list of items wanted is pretty big. I'm trying to be patient as possible.

Teal and Green look for contest

Final Exams

I've been super busy for the last couple of weeks. I've got only one more final exam to go tomorrow and I should be done for the rest of the summer. Oh how I can't wait.

I need to go on a diet. Over the last couple of years I've gained a ton of weight and I seriously lost all motivation to lose it again. Me and the bf were talking about what we could do to motivate me and this is our conclusion, well at least my part of the conclusion... :) For every paycheck (that's every two weeks), IF I work out and diet then I get to use up to $50 on makeup.. I came up with that, but man, I would totally love that because there has been a lot of items that I've got my eye on. :) Anyways, I just dyed my hair back to black/brown, so I'm hoping to go get a new haircut today. I still want my hair long, but I'm thinking of bangs...

I'm still trying to achieve my Pin Up look and I realize that it's my freckles! Whenever I take close up pictures, all I can see are my freckles everywhere! So I decided to mess around with Photoshop and see how I can cover my blemishes..

Indulging Myself

I've been hearing about Ulta's Buy 2 Get 1 Free deal of NYX cosmetics for a while and didn't bother to go because I was broke.. So I finally went today.. I swore, I had the hardest time just sitting there deciding what to buy.. I know that I don't need anymore makeup, but just the thought of a SALE gets me running wild.. I didn't spend as much as I wanted, but surely, I got myself some things to indulge for a couple of weeks..

I got myself two different eyeshadow base. Their regular in pearly white, and their HD. I've been addicted to cream blushes, so I was able to pick me up one. And I can't ever say no to lipstick. I love lipstick, although most of my shades that I do have, are almost all about the same color. I've noticed that they also had their Ulta lash primer on clearance for a while, but luckily I waited, because today I saw that they went down some more, and it was only $3.99. So, I finally decided to pick it up. :)

Just thought that I also attach a picture of my everyday look. I've been trying to lighten up my eyeshadow and I guess I did okay.. I'm still in love with my Urban Decay Naked Palette and I haven't stopped using it since I purchased it. I tried to tweeze my eyebrows the other night, and it turned out horrible. I guess that's why I stick with waxing at the shop, but as mentioned, I've been kinda broke.. I seriously need a new haircut for the summer, and I need to get rid of my ugly bleached hair.

I woke up sick this morning with some kind of stomach ache.. I blame my boyfriend's bananas he bought yesterday because I ate one and afterwards, my stomach was out of control... On the other hand, I went to the grocery store to pick up more angel hair pasta noodles for my spaghetti sauce from last night and found this...

Oh man, this was yummy. I'm not a big fan of those Asian guava juices that you buy from the Asian markets because I think they taste way too sweet, but this was good.. It was just right, not too sweet and not too watered down. They've got other flavors too. I picked up Guava and Tangerine but have yet to taste the tangerine one.

I wanted to show some of my makeup today, but unfortunately this stomach thing is getting to me.. So rather doing so, I decided to take a picture of my work space.. It's been like this since I moved in to this place, and my boyfriend is rather lazy and won't help me put up my mirror and lights... Then again I did lose the nails and things to hold up my mirror too.. But whatever.. Here's a picture of my space. I love it.. I don't have too much makeup so everything fits nice and easily inside the drawers.

My desk I bought from Ikea a couple of months ago. I probably don't need the lights up anyways, because I am sitting in between two windows.. But it would be nice. :)

La Femme Pin Up

I've been trying to do a pin up look, but its a lot more complicated then I thought. Especially the fact that I have monolids it makes it a lot harder to show my eye makeup... Blah! What am I talking about? It looks nothing like a pin up....

On the other hand... I made some yummy spaghetti with italian sausage for dinner.

I prefer it with italian sausage versus ground beef or meatballs, the flavors are just so much better. :)
